Field Apothecary has been selected to participate in one of the world’s leading trade shows - NY NOW 2017
We will exhibit at the prestigious Accent on Design® area at NY NOW, one of the world’s leading tradeshows for the home, lifestyle and gift markets, taking place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, from August 20th – 23rd.
Renowned worldwide for showcasing new, design-focused products, NY NOW attracts over 25,000 retail buyers, from small boutiques and specialty stores to large department stores, with attendees from all 50 US states and more than 80 countries worldwide expected. A highlight on the global design calendar, the show features over 400 product categories from more than 2,400 international suppliers.
An expert panel from NY NOW chose Field Apothecary as one of just seven brands from the Design Ireland exhibit at Showcase in Dublin’s RDS last January. The only candle brand selected to attend, we will join other contemporary Irish brands including artisan pottery studio Arran Street East and Co Meath ceramics brand Diem Pottery; textile brands Avoca Woollen Mills and Stable of Ireland; handmade nursery furniture designers Bunny & Clyde; and Co Waterford crystal company J. Hill’s Standard.
Notes to Editors:
The Field Apothecary range (£30 each, 40 hour burn time) of six fragrances in 190g candle format is made in Ireland from a soy wax blend and hand poured in small batches in Co Down, with up to 11 essential oils in each candle. Presented in a smoky glass jar inside a stunning embossed box, and illustrated with a line drawing of the patchwork of fields surrounding the Field Day factory, all of the fragrances (Rain, Peat, Ivy, Flora, Hay and Lichen) are home grown and represent the essence of Ireland and creator's Alix’s love for the Irish countryside.
For Alix Mulholland, the Co Down businesswoman who created Field Apothecary in April of this year as a boutique capsule collection under her umbrella brand, Field Day, NY NOW represents an incredible opportunity. “When I started the brand fifteen years ago at my mum’s kitchen table, NY NOW is an opportunity I could only have dreamed about. We are honoured to have been chosen as one of the select few to participate, as it will expose our brand to a vast array of potential new stockists, and give us the opportunity to break the US market, and markets further afield. We simply can’t wait.”
